Riverside Blues

( The photo above is, of course, one of my own but the words were gifted by my friend James Rinalducci. James and I have known each other for several years and have collaborated a few times previously. James is a musician in Savannah, GA and if you visit, or live in the area, you will hear him playing his saxophone (Gilda is her name) in Reynolds Square. During one of our recent telephone conversations, it was apparent we’d both been pondering our individual pasts. At that time, James also asked me to send him a few photos to choose from, as a collaboration on one of his jazz haiku. He chose another photo but sent this one back with his thoughts. As we are both river city dwellers, both seemed to fit our creative styles. Please take a moment to visit his blog to read about his adventures as a musician. The links to his music at ReverbNation and Youtube are there as well. )
